A trained dog is a happy dog! Obedience training will establish a bond and relationship between handler and dog that creates a lifetime of enjoyment of your "First Friend."

Novice Class starts out individuals and their pets as if they may have never had any training or socialization. This course is designed to provide you with all the basic knowledge necessary to make owning your "First Friend" a pleasurable experience.

Our classes are designed to help you become a confident handler. This class will teach the basic commands of heel, sit, down, stand, stay, and come. We can also work with you in class on correcting behavioral issues* such as jumping, biting, barking, crate training, and house breaking.

Novice Class is an 8-week long course that meets one time a week on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evenings depending on the start date. Class times are from 6:30pm to 7:40 pm and 8:00 pm to 9:10pm. The first class is an Orientation and is mandatory participate in the remainder of the course. Orientations start at 7 pm and conclude at 9:30 pm.

The fee for the Novice Class is $350.

To register for one of our Novice Classes, simply call our office at 317-842-4199 and set up a consultation appointment** so that we can meet your "First Friend" beforehand. We schedule office appointments Monday through Friday during the day between 9:00am and 3:00pm or we have evening appointments Monday through Thursday between 6:30pm and 8:00pm. Payment for class is collected at the time of consultation. Enrollment is not guaranteed until payment is received.


*While we believe every dog should have a chance to participate in one of our classes, some behaviors (aggression towards people, other dogs, etc.) will require that handlers and dogs participate in a Private Lesson(s) to correct such behaviors, ensure handler confidence, and to protect all others attending our classes.


**A $40 consultation fee will be charged to those whom do not sign up for class during the consultation, it will be applied to your class purchase if you sign up later
